Both the films produced by Balaji Motion Pictures were blockbusters. Shootout At Lokhandwala is based on the encounter of Maya Dolas and his gang in 1991. Shootout At Wadala starring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut saw the real life encounter of gangster Manya Surve in 1982.
