Just two weeks left for Varun Dhawan’s Main Tera Hero to hit the silver screen, and this talented actor is busy promoting his film. Varun feels that the appreciation he receives from audience amounts more than earning money and fame through films.
“Entertaining the audience is important to me. Money and fame don’t feature in my list. I love to perform. I have seen my father getting fame, money. Even for him, audience is more important than getting all these things. For me also, audience appreciation is important,” Varun stated during one of the promotional events for his film.
Varun Dhawan has quite a few films in his kitty. Post Main Tera Hero he has a thriller being directed by Sriram Raghavan, then Humpty Sharma Ki Dhulania with Alia Bhatt and last but not the least a sequel to Any Body Can Dance.
“For me, audience is important and their love and acceptance is essential. I will continue to entertain audience with different kind of films. I don’t want to bore them by doing one kind of cinema,” stated a very confident Varun.
In Main Tera Hero, Varun Dhawan will be seen romancing two actresses; Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri, but the actor says that he would not date an actress in real life.
Varun said, “I know we are in a profession where our personal life is always in the limelight. All I would like to say is that I would never date an actress.”
Varun is excited about Main Tera Hero as it’s for the first time that he has been directed by his father David Dhawan.
“It was not a deliberate decision, it just happened. Main Tera Hero was going to be my third film and Humpty Sharma Ki Dhulania was going to be my second film. I did this film for emotional reasons than commercial. This is my dad’s 43rd film and my second film. To work with an established director like him in the early stage of my career is a blessing,” Varun said.
Recalling David Dhawan‘s downfall, Varun said, “I remember there was a time when my father’s films didn’t do well and caused his downfall and we faced financial crisis. During those trying times, the family used to pray that his film does well. It was very scary and we used to be very nervous at that point of time.”
Main Tera Hero is a remake of Telugu movie Kandireega. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film is set to release on April 04, 2014.
