Vidya Balan speaks her mind out about the incident when Aamir Khan had hurt her ego.
Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has geared up for the promotion of her much-talked upcoming film, Begum Jaan. Just like her bold and fierce character in the film, Vidya is seen speaking her mind out during the interviews also. During one of many promotional events for her upcoming film, Vidya was asked if she had ever been through a situation where her ego was hurt.
It everyone’s surprise, Vidya Balan had gone through such and shared about the instance. During her budding years in the industry, Vidya revealed that how photographers pushed her aside to clicked pictures of Aamir Khan.
Sharing about the incident, Vidya Balan said that when she attended someone’s funeral from Bollywood, media and photographers surrounded her as she was the first to arrive. The shutterbugs started taking her pictures and also interacted with her but as soon as Aamir Khan arrived, the photographers “pushed her aside” to take the actor’s pictures.
Vidya went on to add that post-incident; she went home and spoke to her family about the incident. After hearing about her family’s view on it, she realized that Aamir was in the industry far longer than her and that he was held in much higher esteem. The actress shared that she felt perfectly normal after that.
Talking about her upcoming film Begum Jaan, the film is based on the backdrop of the year 1947. Begum Janna is the story of eleven women who refuse to part ways with their brothel and each other during the partition between India and Pakistan. The film also stars Chunkey Pandey and Naseeruddin Shah in the lead roles.
The movie will release in cinemas on April 14, 2017.
