[tps_footer]The Diva of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit is all praises for the Ishqiya girl Vidya Balan. Madhuri not only likes Vidya as a person but also likes her as an actor for the body of work that she has done.
“Vidya is wonderful. She is a lovely actress and I not only liked her in Ishqiya, I also liked her in her first movie Parineeta. I was the first one who talked about her in an interview, saying she is a good actress. I loved her in Dirty Picture and Kahaani. She is very talented,” stated Madhuri Dixit with her million dollar smile.
Madhuri Dixit considers herself lucky that a script like Dedh Ishqiya was offered to her. She feels that Abhishek Chaubey, the directed of the film is immensely talented, as he has penned the character of Begum Para with a lot of care and finesse.
Before saying yes to the project she did see Ishqiya and thoroughly enjoyed watching it, especially because of the way the characters of Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah were etched out.
Dedh Ishqiya revolves around the characters Para who is the Begum of Mehmoodabad, which is a small town in Lucknow. A widow, she is extremely beautiful, poised and graceful. Para loves performing arts, so you will see her dancing, singing and reciting poems. Para’s husband made her take a vow that if she ever planned to re-marry, it would be to a poet. So, in her quest to meet the right poet, she organizes a Swayamvar every year and that is how she meets Khallu Jaan (Naseeruddin Shah), who poses as a Nawabi Poet.
Dedh Ishqiya is set to hit the theaters on January 10, 2014. Here’s wishing Madhuri Dixit and the entire team of the film all the very best and like Ishqiya, we do hope that this one too sets the Box-Office on fire.[/tps_footer]
