[tps_footer]Vir Das, who has mostly played casually dressed characters in his films so far, will be next seen playing a dapper investment banker in upcoming rom-com Amit Sahni Ki List.
Sources attached to the unit claim that in the film, Vir Das will be seen obsessed with his suits, just like Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) from How I Met Your Mother. A source added that Vir Das’s character will be even seen wearing a suit inside a diving suit.
Vir Das essays the role of Amit Sahni, who is a young and quirky guy who is searching for the woman of his dreams. Amit notes down all the traits that he is looking for in the perfect woman and every time he goes out on a date, he secretly checks to see if his date matches to the list. The interesting twists and turns that take place on account of the list make for an interesting comedy.
The film also stars Vega Tamotia opposite Vir Das. Vega had earlier played the role of revolutionary Pritilata Waddedar, the first woman revolutionary of India in the film Chittagong.
Produced by Pyxis Pictures and directed by Ajay Bhuyan, Amit Sahni Ki List stars Vir Das, Vega Tamotia, Anindita Nayar and Kavi Shastri in lead roles.
