Yes, you heard it right, the very actor who earned accolades as gangster in films like Company, Shootout At Lokhandwala and Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story will be seen as cop in Sanjay Gupta’s next big budget venture Mumbai Saga.
FThe film will see Vivek reportedly playing a role inspired by a senior Mumbai Police inspector and encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar who was killed in 26/11 attacks. He was awarded Ashoka Chakra posthumously. According to the buzz, Vivek will cut his hair and grow moustache to look the part.
Vivek Oberoi had earlier worked with Sanjay Gupta in Shootout At Lokhandwala.
The film is directed by Sanjay Gupta and stars John Abraham, Dino Morea, Vivek Oberoi, Sonu Sood, Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee and Tusshar Kapoor.
Mumbai Saga is slated to go on floor in September and should hit the big screens in mid 2015.
