Watch: Anushka Sharma's Transformation Into Jagat Janani For PK

Aamir Khan’s variants of look in PK have created quite an intrigue and the viewers have also loved Anushka Sharma’s look in the movie. The portrayal of characters has always been an essence of advantage to their stories. This time the makers got into the detailing of Jagat Janani’s character and after trying many this is how they finalized on the looks.

Anushka Sharma tours us through the process of getting the final look of her character, Jagat Janani for the film PK. And here is what all went in giving a life to the fictional character ‘Jagat Janani’ around fifteen looks were tried with costumes, hairstyle and make up. Director Rajkumar Hirani wanted the character to look very fresh, happy, chirpy, and peppy; after a lot of trials Anushka got it right with a floral print dress paired with a jacket.

Next step was to get the perfect look, and after couple of styles, director Rajkumar Hirani suggested for a short hairdo and that worked perfectly. Though, the director was keen to have Anushka don the pixie cut, but due to overlapping of shooting schedules with her next film Bombay Velvet in which she plays an old-world jazz singer, the actress could not cut her hair short and so she wore a wig and also carried it off well. The makeup and hairstyle team had to make sure that Anushka looks like herself.

The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani (producer too) and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Siddharth Roy Kapur. It stars Aamir Khan as the main lead, with Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt as supporting leads. Hirani has stated that the film will be a satire on “God and Godmen”. So here’s looking forward to December 19, 2014 when the film releases.
