Here’s why Deepika Padukone started crying and Shah Rukh Khan had to come to wipe off her tears!
The Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone make a great couple on-screen. Both of them have worked together in three films namely Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year. In fact, the actress had made her acting debut in the industry with SRK.
It was recently when we saw the actor wiping off tears as Deepika was crying. Actually the two of them were shooting for Lux Golden Divas ‘Baatein with the Baadshah’ event. It was a sort of interview the actor had with the actress.
While Shah Rukh started reading out the letter from Ujjala, Deepika’s mother, it made her very emotional. She became teary-eyed and ultimately broke into tears. It was then that SRK stood and came near the actress to wipe off her tears and comfort her.

In the emotional letter, Ujjala had mentioned how proud she is of her daughter for whatever she has achieved in her life. She also wrote about how Deepika used to be a tomboy in her childhood. But now she has grown into a diva and is managing her private life so well.
It has been a really tough time for the actress because of the controversy going around her film Padmavati. On one hand, her film has not yet been certified by the CBFC as a result of which the release date of the film had to be postponed.
On the other hand, Deepika has been facing the backlash from several fringe groups of the country, mainly from the Rajput Karni Sena. She has been getting open death threats. And bounties in crores have been offered to behead her and the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Along with Deepika Padukone, the film stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
