MUMBAI: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Rowdy Rathore’ directed by Prabhu Deva starring Akshay Kumar in a double role opposite Sonakshi Sinha, got advantage of being the first big release post the IPL tournament, giving it a major boost in box office collections.
Taking a stupendous start, this is the highest opening for Akshay Kumar. Going strong in both single screens and multiplexes, the first day figures are in the range of Rs 152.5 million (Rs 15.25 crore) net.
