Akshay Kumar starrer action thriller film Gabbar Is Back opened to a really good start on Friday. In fact, the film proved to be the highest opener in Bollywood this year. Gabbar Is Back continued to create waves at the Box Office through out the following weekend and minted around Rs. 38.50 crore net (385 million) on its first weekend at the Box Office. However, after a good Monday business, the collection numbers of the film dropped. The film minted around Rs. 7 crore net (70 milion) at the Box Office on its 4th day. The business slowed further down on its 5th day, Tuesday, as the film only managed to pull around Rs. 5.25 crore net (52.5 milion) at the Indian Box Office.
But this isn’t shocking as it was predicted by the critics that Gabbar Is Back’s earnings were to slow down the coming weekdays. However, the film is doing surprisingly good in places like Mumbai, Delhi, UP, East Punjab and Rajasthan. Audiences enjoyed Akshay Kumar and Shruti Haasan’s on-screen chemistry in the film.
Directed by Krish, Gabbar Is Back is packed with action, thriller and drama. Akshay plays the role of a daredevil police officer in Gabbar Is Back, the same action hero avatar that Akshay is famous in Bollywood for. Gabbar Is Back’s first weekend collection surely surprised the audiences and the film is still doing well at the Box Office, so it is expected that Gabbar Is Back will also have a good second weekend collection at the Box Office.
