Akshay Kumar starrer film Gabbar Is Back continues to create waves at the Box Office as the film is doing amazingly well. The film turned out to be the highest opener in Bollywood this year at the Box Office and as predicted, the film did equally well the following weekend. Directed by Krish, Gabbar Is Back minted around Rs. 38.50 crore net (385 million) on its first weekend at the Box Office. The film opened to a really good start on Friday, however on its second day, Saturday, Gabbar Is Back collection numbers at the Box Office fell as the film earned lesser than it did on its first day and only minted around Rs. 10.90 crore net (109 million). Just when we were thinking that this was it for Akshay’s new release, the film’s collection numbers took a jump on Sunday by pulling around Rs. 15 crore net (150 million) at the Box Office.
Gabbar Is Back has received good reaction from the audiences so far. The first weakened collection looks decent enough. Now our full attention is shifted on the coming week and the weekend. Let’s see if the film manages to carry on with the good work at the Box Office and earn sufficiently well. The film, which also stars Shruti Haasan, is doing decently business in places like Delhi, Mumbai, UP, Rajasthan and East Punjab.
It is expected that Gabbar Is Back will collect good numbers at the Box Office on Monday as there is Holiday at some parts of India. Packed with action, thriller and drama, Akshay plays the role of a daredevil police officer in Gabbar Is Back, the same action hero avatar that Akshay is famous in Bollywood for. And looking at the numbers, its not wrong to say that the audiences are loving Akshay‘s this Khiladi avatar nonetheless. Now let’s see what the following week has in store for the film.
