MUMBAI: Abhinay Deo directed Delhi Belly has seen great response at the box office.
The movie did net collections of approximately Rs 220 million (Rs 22 crore) in its opening weekend. The weekend breakup is as follows: Friday: Rs 60 million (Rs 6 crore), Saturday: Rs 72.5 million (Rs 7.25 crore) and Sunday: Rs 87.5 million (Rs 8.75 crore).
What’s more, on Monday too the collections were steady across theaters. On Monday, the movie’s net collections stood at approximately Rs 47.5 million (Rs 4.75 crore). In terms of occupancy, Monday was similar or more than Friday; however collections differed due to change in ticket prices. With this, the four days net collections of the movie stands at Rs 267.5 million (Rs 26.75 crore).
On the other hand, the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap saw opening weekend net collections of approximately Rs 73.5 million (Rs 7.35 crore). The weekend breakup is as follows: Friday: Rs 19 million (Rs 1.9 crore), Saturday: Rs 23.5 million (Rs 2.35 crore) and Sunday: Rs 31 million (Rs 3.1 crore). On Monday, the movie saw a drop in net collections with Rs 10 million (Rs 1 crore). The four days net collections of the movie is Rs 83.5 million (Rs 8.35 crore).
Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’s satellite rights have been sold for approximately Rs 135 million (Rs 13.5 cores).
