MUMBAI: Kiran Rao’s directorial debut film Dhobi Ghat saw decent opening day collections at the box office in India.
The movie, which is released by UTV Motion Pictures, saw net collections of approximately Rs 29 million (Rs 2.90 crore) on Friday. While the movie took a slow start in the morning, it picked up during the evening shows.
Dhobi Ghat stars Aamir Khan, Pratiek Babbar along with debutants Kriti Malhotra and Monica Dogra.
It remains to be seen how the movie fares over the weekend.
