MUMBAI: Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which collected Rs 320 million (32 crore) on it’s opening day as reported by businessofcinema.com earlier saw a downfall in earnings on Day 2.

Single screens saw a huge drop on Thursday, compared to it’s opening day which was a national holiday (Independence Day). Maximum collections came from North India, especially Delhi and Punjab on Thursday. Evening shows in multiplexes in Mumbai too ran to their full capacities.
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ has collected in the range of Rs 160 million (16 crore) even on Thursday being a non-holiday, which too is very close to a new record.
The two day collections now stand at Rs 480 million (48 crore).
And the register at advance booking counter is still ringing, with most shows on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday being booked already with about hundreds more queuing up for tickets.
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is now on the verge of creating a new record. Let’s wait till the weekend!
