Balaji Motion Pictures’ ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ has been floundering over it's first week at the box office.

MUMBAI: Balaji Motion Pictures’ ‘Ek Thi Daayan’, co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, and directed by Kannan Iyer, has been floundering over it’s first week at the box office.

The film, starring Emraan Hashmi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Huma Qureshi and Kalki Koechlin in leading roles, has ended up doing average business over week 1.

As reported earlier, ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ managed to garner decent opening on 19 April, Friday, with collections in the range of Rs 55 million (5.5 crore) net. The first weekend collections were a dismal Rs 160 million (16 crore) though, and the film has tanked further during the week.

The first week collections of ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ are in the range of Rs 254.5 million (25.45 crore) net, a surprisingly low figure for an Emraan Hashmi starrer.
