Ek Villain has managed to collect around Rs 160 million (Rs 16 crore) nett at the Indian Box Office on day one.
Now, the all India collection of Ek Villain is similar to that of Salman Khan‘s Jai Ho which is a great achievement for a film that stars Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
What is surprising is the fact that Ek Villain released in lesser screens as compared to Jai Ho and has done better business in multiplexes than in single screens. The collections have been fantastic all over with some circuits recording the highest collections for the year.
Ek Villain, had a great pre-release buzz that attracted a lot of footfall as well as the music of the film has proved to be a huge draw. The response and feedback of the audiences have been great and the critics have also loved the film.
Ek Villain belongs to Riteish Deshmukh who just takes you by surprise with his eyes dead and speaking at the same time. This film is a must watch for all Riteish Deshmukh‘s fans.
With such a start, we are very sure that the film shall do great business by the end of its first week. The coming week (July 04, 2014) one shall see Vidya Balan‘s Bobby Jasoos hit the silver screen. Now lets see how this one shall fare at the Box Office.
