MUMBAI: ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ directed by Maneesh Sharma, and starring Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Vaani Kapoor, saw decent box office collections on Day 4 and Day 5.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, the romantic comedy film has performed quite well, garnering decent reviews since its release. As reported, the film generated approximately Rs 64.2 million (Rs 6.42 crore) net at the box office.
Saturday saw figures in the range of Rs 76.7 million (Rs 7.67 crore)net, while Sunday’s figures stood at approximately Rs 88.9 million (Rs 8.89 crore) net.
The three day total for ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ stood at a respectable Rs 229.8million (Rs 22.98 crore net).
Monday, being a holiday on account of Ganesh Chaturthi bode well for the film. Tuesday saw a drop, marking the beginning of the weekdays. The 5 day total of the film is at about Rs 306.2 million (Rs 30.62 crore) net.
