Bollywood’s latest release Hamari Adhuri Kahani has had a low start but has managed to stay ahead of the Hollywood giant release Jurassic World.
The film has managed to get a head start as other than the major cities, rest of the places have preferred Hamari Adhuri Kahani over the English version of Jurassic World. As predicted the film has grossed 5 crore net (50 million) approx in its first day. Even though it is a slow start, the amount looks decent enough to provide the film a ground to recover during the weekend.
Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Hamari Adhuri Kahani that has been promising audiences a very unique love story from their side has had a low start on its first day. The film went on to achieve a comparatively low occupancy rate of 15 to 20 percent. Hamari Adhuri Kahani is receiving greater response in regions of Central India rather than major urban cities. Blissful music offered by the film has however managed to attract the audience.
At the bigger multiplexes figures of Jurassic World have been better than that of Hamari Adhuri Kahani but other than that the film has not been able to attract more masses towards it. Which gives Mohit Suri‘s romantic flick a fair chance to compete against the Hollywood release. As the first day collections have been decent by far, Hamari Adhuri Kahani’s weekend performance will decide the film’s fate – whether the film soars high or dips low.
Hamari Adhuri Kahani walks on the lines of films based on matured relationships. Showing emotional turmoil, chaos and distress in the married lives of the central characters, the film offers a budding romance between two long lost lovers played by Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan. Romantic films generally attract audiences well and the actors of the film have managed to impress everyone with their chemistry. The film has been receiving positive response from audiences as well as members of the film fraternity.
