The Friday releases of last week have not shown many results at the box office. The major films which released are ‘Budhia Singh’, ‘Fever’, ‘The Legend Of Michael Mishra’, ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Jason Bourne’. The film ‘Dishoom‘ managed to gain good collection which was in its second weekend. Coming to the Friday releases, the Bollywood films were a disappointment at the box office and the same was the case with the Hollywood releases.
Expectations from ‘Budhia Singh’ were high because its trailer was much applauded. However, due to lack of star cast the film could not create a great recall value in the minds of the audience. ‘Suicide Squad’ did a fairly good business as compared to ‘Jason Bourne’.
Even though ‘Budhia Singh’ was the best earner out of all the Bollywood Friday releases its earnings are not very high. ‘Fever’ and ‘The Legend Of Michael Mishra’ were even lower than ‘Budhia Singh’. All these stated films have crossed their first weekend at the screens.
The film wise collections for the weekend are
‘Budhia Singh’ earned Rs.1.25 crore net approx. on its first weekend.
‘Fever’ earned Rs.75 lakhs net approx.
‘The Legend of Michael Mishra’ gained the total of Rs.50 Lakhs net approx.
‘Suicide Squad’ was the highest amongst all with Rs.9.75 crore net approx.
‘Jason Bourne’ gained the number of Rs.5.25 crore net approx.
The audience is now waiting for the release of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ and ‘Rustom’!
