MUMBAI: The Diwali 2010 release Golmaal 3 has done a net business of approximately Rs 630 million (Rs 63 crore) in its opening week at the Indian box office. On the other hand, the other release Action Replayy did net collections of approximately Rs 240 million (Rs 24 crore) in the first week.
As was earlier reported by Businessofcinema.com, Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 3’s opening weekend net collections stood at approximately Rs 320 million (Rs 32 crore), whereas that of Action Replayy’s stood at approximately Rs 167.50 million (Rs 16.75 crore).
Golmaal 3 stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi and Kunal Khemu. Action Replayy, which is directed by Vipul Shah stars Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead.
Golmaal 3’s overseas collections in the first week stood at Rs 150 million (Rs 15 crore).

In UK, USA and UAE, this edition of Golmaal series will be the best ever within just 10 days since its release. Mauritius, Australia and Fiji have registered record breaking collections. I believe Golmaal 3 brought the perfect mood to ignite Diwali and festivities in style, considering the tremendous response received from the audiences."
