MUMBAI: Directed by Indra Kumar, the sequel to 2004 hit film ‘Masti’, ‘Grand Masti’ starring Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi and Ritesh Deshmukh is a certified box office hit.
As reported, the adult comedy was among the biggest openers of 2013, raking in a whopper Rs 124.7 million (Rs 12.47 crore) net approximately, on opening day. Day 2 and Day 3 were equally impressive, with figures in the range of Rs 131.1 million (Rs 13.11 crore) and Rs 144.2 million (Rs 14.42 crore) net respectively.
The 3 day total stood at a staggering even Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crore) net approximately.
The weekdays too are robust with Monday and Tuesday garnering about Rs 79.1 million (Rs 7.91 crore) net and Rs 70 million (Rs 7 crore net) respectively. The 5 day total of ‘Grand Masti’ is in the range of Rs 549.1 million (Rs 54.91 crore) net.
