Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Hamari Adhuri Kahani that has been promising audiences a very unique love story from their side has had a low start on its first day. The film went on to achieve a comparatively low occupancy rate of 15 to 20 percent. Hamari Adhuri Kahani is receiving greater response in regions of Central India rather than major urban cities. Hamari Adhuri Kahani walks on the lines of films based on matured relationships. Showing emotional turmoil, chaos and distress in the married lives of the central characters, the film offers a budding romance between two long lost lovers played by Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan. Romantic films generally attract audiences well and the actors of the film have managed to impress everyone with their chemistry. Mohit Suri’s direction gives it the perfect insight required.
Based on the relatively lower occupancy rate and the competition faced by it from Hollywood film Jurassic World, we can say that Hamari Adhuri Kahani may achieve low collections. Only time will tell if the film soars high or dips low at the box office. The film will definitely have to make up for the slow start on the first day during the weekend. As Irrfan Khan starrer Jurassic World offers thrill and exciting storyline, it is hard to say if Hamari Adhuri Kahani will be able to cope up with the competition.
