MUMBAI: Like its opening weekend, the first week has proved to be fantastic for Illuminati films’ ‘Cocktail’. Directed by Homi Adajania, starring the trio of Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, the first week collections of ‘Cocktail’ are approximately Rs 550 million (Rs 55 crore) net.
The major portion of the business has come from multiplexes in Mumbai, Delhi, and parts of NorthIndia Punjab.
Day 8 though has seen a drastic drop, due to the big release ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ which is sweeping away the collections. However, the consistent performance offers hope for a decent second week.
