Box Office: Karan Singh Grover’s Hate Story 3 First Day Collection

The film had already gained word of mouth and good occupancy rate, and as expected crossed the previous first day record set by its prequels. ‘Hate Story 3’ managed to collect Rs. 7.75 crores net approx (Rs. 77.5 million) on its first day at the box office. The amount is pretty good and ensures a healthy run over the weekend.

Out of the three films that released yesterday, ‘Hate Story 3’ has easily managed to become the strongest opener with an occupancy rate of 30-35% approximately in its opening shows. With the occupancy rate going strong till the evening the film has collected good amount. The film performed the best in Northern regions like UP, CP Berar, CI where such genre of films have huge audience. The collections might drop on Saturday but hopefully not a lot. And with the same ‘Hate Story 3’ is expected to have a collection of around Rs. 20 crores net approx on its first weekend.

Owing to the legacy of the film series, the film enjoyed an awareness among the audience who knew what the film will be offering. The film caters to a certain type of audience and is an A-rated film which makes it important for the film to impress that part of the audience throughout today and tomorrow. ‘Hate Story 3′ is expected to have similar lifetime business to last year’s release ‘Ragini MMS 2’ which collected Rs. 46 crores net approx over all.
