MUMBAI: Four movies – ‘Mickey Virus’, ‘Ishq Actually’, ‘Super Se Upar’ and ‘Bull Bulbul Bandook’ hit the screens on October 25, 2013.

While the other three sank within the opening weekend itself, ‘Mickey Virus’ got some decent response in terms of collections. But, one cannot forget the fact that ‘Mickey Virus’ was released in thousand screens, which is more than other new releases.

The Manish Paul and Elli Avram starrer was highly promoted and registered 10% to 15% occupancy in the morning and matinee shows. It showed some marginal improvement in the evening and night shows.

‘Mickey Virus’ has managed to collect Rs 47.5 million (4.75 crore) nett at the Box Office in the first weekend. Arun Rangachari and Vivek Rangachari have produced ‘Mickey Virus’.

The way things are going at the Box Office, it is clearly visible that the film may not be able to recover even its production cost.

Also, with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krrish 3’ up for release on November 1, 2013 this target looks very steep to achieve. Manish Paul’s contemporary Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Vicky Donor’ that released on April 20, 2012 made him a star over night and Manish was also hoping the same with ‘Mickey Virus’, but with ‘Mickey Virus’ the way things are looking at the Box Office it seems like a tall order.
