MUMBAI: Milan Luthria’s ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobara’, produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan has seen a decent opening at the box office.
Having released on Independence Day, on 15 August, ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobara’ garnered approximately Rs 111.1 million (Rs 11.10 crore) net on Day 1, Thursday. Collections dipped slightly on day 2, with figures in the range of Rs 104.9 million (Rs 10.49 crore) net.
While ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobara’ continues to do steady business at the ticketing windows, its fierce competition in the form of SRK starrer ‘Chennai Express’ only continues to grow from strength to strength. It is still unsure if ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobara’ can steal away the limelight from the already super hit ‘Chennai Express’.
