MUMBAI: The John Abraham starrer ‘I, Me Aur Main’, directed by Kapil Sharma, produced by Goldie Behl, has had a disastrous first week at the box office.
The film, featuring John Abraham, Prachi Desai and Chitrangada Singh in leading roles, opened to a very disheartening Rs 15 million (Rs 1.5 crore) on Friday, Day 1.
Day 2, Saturday brought in a slight respite, with approximate collections of Rs 17.5 million (Rs 1.75 crore) net. Day 3, Sunday saw collections of about Rs 20.8 million (Rs 2.08 crore net).
After the slow first weekend, the weekdays did not offer any hope. With a start of only Rs 7.74 million (Rs 77.4 lacs) net on Monday, the week one total of ‘I, Me Aur Main’ is just in the range of Rs 78.5 million (7.85 crore) net, which is extremely poor for a film starring A-listers.
