MUMBAI: Horror thriller ‘Raaz 3’ from the Bhatt camp starring Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta and Bipasha Basu, has had a superb first week at the Box Office.
With a heady mix of terror, promise of abundant skin show and sex scenes, Raaz 3 has turned out to be quite the crowd puller.
On its first weekend, as reported by businessofcinema.com the film had collected in the range of Rs 361 million (Rs 36.10 crore) net, making it one of the biggest starters of 2012.
Interestingly, prior to Raaz 3 no horror film has even touched the 30 crore nett mark.
But then again, prior to this no horror film has had Emraan Hashmi in it. Now at the end of its first week ‘Raaz 3’ has collected a good Rs 550 million (Rs 55 crore) net which makes it a fantastic performance.
The bad news for the film is that the Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ileana D’cruz starrer Barfi! has arrived. Since Barfi! has already garnered a lot of cine-goers interest, Raaz 3 is likely to see a dip from here on.
