Bollywood’s Dabangg Salman Khan’s much anticipated film Bajrangi Bhaijaan released yesterday and the film did an amazing business on its first day at the Box Office. The film saw an excellent first day occupancy rate and collected Rs. 26 crore net (260 million) approx. on Friday. With Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman Khan has raced past his own record which he set by Kick with its first day collections. However, Salman Khan couldn’t beat Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s first day collections record, which he set by his film Happy New Year. On its first day, Happy New Year minted Rs. 44 crore net (440 million) approx. at the Box Office.
Well, even with a festival release, Salman Khan couldn’t beat Shah Rukh Khan at the Box Office on day one. However, Salman Khan has acquired the second spot in the list with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, as it has beaten Aamir Khan’s film PK’s first day opening record. On its first day at the Box Office, Aamir Khan’s PK earned Rs. 25.80 crore net (258 million) approx. Even though the margin is very less, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has beaten Aamir Khan’s PK’s first day collections at the Box Office.
Simply, among these three films by the three Khans of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan is still leading the list with his Happy New Year, however, Aamir Khan’s PK has faced defeat and moved behind Salman Khan’s recently released film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Director Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is doing extremely well at the Box Office and is running housefull in a lot of places. The film did an extraordinary business in places like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, UP and more. Friday collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan are pretty impressive and we are sure that the film will earn more on Saturday and Sunday, as the weekend will most likely see more footfalls for as the world celebrates EID. Now all our eyes are on Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s first weekend Box Office collections and the records that it breaks.
