[tps_footer]‘Dilwale’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ were the most talked about movies recently. The clash of the two most awaited movies surely came with a bang. The box office collections of both the movies were tricky and surprising. Shah Rukh Khan starrer film ‘Dilwale’ raked in maximum collections initially, but due to lack of content Deepika Padukone’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ then picked up.

‘Dilwale’ which was much in limelight for its impressive star cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon received negative reviews from the critics. The Rohit Shetty entertainer could not sustain much audience after the not so good reviews. Coming to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’, the historic drama had a slow start at the box office but went on increasing its audience after getting all the positive reviews for its concept and execution.

Both the films have now crossed their 18 days at the box office. The worldwide collection for the film ‘Dilwale’ is Rs. 187.25 crore in India net approx. and Rs. 151.50 crore in the overseas net approx. The total collection for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ for 18 days comes to Rs. 338.75 crore net approx.
Deepika and Ranveer Singh starrer film ‘Bajirao Mastani’s 18 days collection is Rs 220.75 crore in India net approx. and Rs 90.50 crore in the overseas net approx. The total collection for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ for 18 days comes to Rs. 311.25 crore net approx.

Even after getting all the positive reviews for its execution and making, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is still behind from ‘Dilwale’. The historic drama is slowly catching up in the race but might not surpass ‘Dilwale’s collection numbers. It can be clearly said that the overseas collections which proved fruitful for ‘Dilwale’ were a disappointment for ‘Bajirao Mastani’.[/tps_footer]
