MUMBAI: The Ajay Devgn starrer Singham has taken the seventh highest net collections of all time in India for the first week.
Singham’s net collections in the first week stand at approximately Rs 502 million (Rs 50.20 crore) in India.
The Top 10 India opening week net collections of all time are as follows:
1) Dabangg – Rs 810 million (Rs 81 crore)
2) 3 Idiots – Rs 800 million (Rs 80 crore)
3) Ready – Rs 680 million (Rs 68 crore)
4) Ghajini – Rs 640 million (Rs 64 crore) (8 days)
5) Golmaal 3 – Rs 620 million (Rs 62 crore)
6) Rajneeti – Rs 520 million (Rs 52 crore)
7) Singham – Rs 510 million (Rs 51 crore)
8) My Name Is Khan – Rs 475 million (Rs 47.5 crore)
9) Housefull – Rs 470 million (Rs 47 crore)
10) Tees Maar Khan – Rs 470 million (Rs 47 crore)
The breakup of the first week’s collections of Singham is as follows: Friday: Rs 87.5 million (Rs 8.75 crore), Saturday: Rs 94.5 million (Rs 9.45 crore), Sunday: Rs 120 million (Rs 12 crore), Monday: Rs 57.5 million (Rs 5.75 crore), Tuesday: Rs 54 million (Rs 5.40 crore), Wednesday: Rs 46 million (Rs 4.60 crore), Thursday: Rs 42.5 million (Rs 4.25 crore).
On the other hand, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’s second weekend collections are as follows: Friday: Rs 27.5 million (Rs 2.75 crore), Saturday: Rs 41.5 million (Rs 4.15 crore), Sunday: Rs 48 million (Rs 4.80 crore). The third week collections are: Monday: Rs 18 million (Rs 1.80 crore), Tuesday: Rs 17.5 million (Rs 1.75 crore), Wednesday: Rs 16 million (Rs 1.60 crore) and Thursday: Rs 15 million (Rs 1.50 crore). The total net collections of the movie now stand at approximately Rs 626 million (Rs 62.60 crore).
This week’s two new releases namely Bubble Gum and Gandhi To Hitler opened poorly at the box office.
