MUMBAI: R Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut’s new romantic film Tanu Weds Manu has taken a decent opening at the box office.

The movie’s first day net collections stood at approximately Rs 32 million (Rs 3.2 crore). The movie took a particularly good opening across multiplexes in the North.

On the other hand, Vishal Bharadwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead saw poor collections throughout the week. The movie’s opening week net collections stood at approximately Rs 148 million (Rs 14.8 crore).

Saat Khoon Maaf’s day-wise net collections for the first week is as follows:

Friday: Rs 31 million (Rs 3.1 crore)

Saturday: Rs 32 million (Rs 3.2 crore)

Sunday: Rs 40 million (Rs 4 crore)

Monday: Rs 14 million (Rs 1.4 crore)

Tuesday: Rs 12.5 million (Rs 1.25 crore)

Wednesday: Rs 10.5 million (Rs 1.05 crore)

Thursday: Rs 8 million (Rs 80 lakhs)
