The former Executive Vice President and General Manager of Life OK and Channel V, Ajit Thakur has joined Eros International for a new on pictures production division, Trinity Pictures. In association with Marvel Studios’ founder David Maisel, Eros is on a quest to implement some of the Marvel magic in their production.
Joining the leadership team at Eros, Ajit Thakur will lead Trinity Pictures’ endeavor to invest in developing intellectual property in-house. “It has been a dream to build a franchise based motion picture label and in Eros I have found a perfect home to my dreams. I am happy to be a part of the Eros family, India’s biggest film studio and hoping to create at Trinity something meaningful and of lasting value,” Thakur stated.
Group CEO of Eros International, Jyoti Deshpande stated, “We are excited about taking a big creative initiative with Trinity and warmly welcome Ajit to join the Eros family to drive this initiative with his wealth of experience and successful track record. With his extensive knowledge and experience, Ajit Thakur is nothing less than an asset for Eros International. His two decades of experience includes key positions working at Coca Cola India where he handled the divisions of Sprite and Fanta, Chief Operating Officer at UTV Pictures, Chief Executive Officer At Balaji Motion Pictures, Business Head at Sony and Unilever.
