Here Is The List Of Nominations For The First Ever Critics’ Choice Short Film Awards

After much anticipation, the Films Critic Guild and Motion Content Group have announced the nominations for the first ever Critics’ Choice Short Film Awards on their social media handles.

Chairperson Anupama Chopra, Secretary Bhawana Somaaya, Ajay Brahmatmaj along with Suchitra Tyagi revealed the list of nominees with a live video on Twitter.

The Critics’ Choice Short Films Awards shared the nominations saying, “Catch the Nominations for the first ever #CriticsChoiceShortFilmAwards in the #BlueRoom. #CatchTheShortys”

Spanning across the genres of Best Film- Fiction, Best Film – Non Fiction, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director – Fiction, Best Director – Non-Fiction, Best Writer, Best Editor, Best Cinematographer, and Best Score, the awards received over hundreds of entries out of which five films per category have made it to the final nominations.

The top nominations include Kirti Kulhari starrer Maya, Kumud Mishra starrer Listener, Priya Chauhan’s Barsaat Ki Raat, South Indian actor Kani Kusruti’s Maa, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli’s Lakshmi, Nandu Madhav’s Drainage, The Black Cat directed by Bhargav Saikia, Mad directed by Vinod Rawat amongst others.

Aiming to recognize and appreciate the inventiveness and creativity of short films producers across the nation, Critics’ Choice Short Film Awards is a first-ever collaborative effort of India’s most credible film critics and Motion Content Group, WPP’s global content investment, and rights management company.

The Critics’ Choice Short Films Awards event will be held in Mumbai on 15th December 2018.

Here Are The Glimpses From The Grand Inaugural Event Of Mahesh Babu’s Superplex

Superstar Mahesh Babu and Narayandas Narang inaugrated AMB cinemas (Asian Mahesh Babu cinemas ) in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Along with Superstar Mahesh Babu and Narayandas Narang Superstar Krishna, Namrata Shirodkar along with well-known celebrities from Tollywood graced the inauguration event.

The 7-screen Superplex is breathtakingly beautiful. The posters of Baahubali and certain stills of Mahesh Babu from different films adorn the walls of the grand superplex.

AMB cinema which is owned by Mahesh babu is first of it’s kind bringing the best-in-class viewing experience for the audience. It has everything from laser screening to Dolby Atmos.

The superplex is now open for moviegoers.

Mahesh Babu recently finished his shoot schedule for Maharshi in New York and currently is shooting for the next schedule in Hyderabad until the end of the year.

The actor will be seen in much leaner and stronger look in Maharshi which will hit the screens in April next year.

VICE India Hosts A Preview Of Its Non-Fictional Series, ‘क Se Crime’

Prior to its official release, VICE India last night, organized a showcase of its crime-series, ‘क Se Crime’ amidst the star cast of Mirzapur and other notable professionals in the industry.

The event, hosted at Khar Social, saw the likes of Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and others, all gathered together to support the web series inspired by the now trending Amazon Prime Original Series, Mirzapur. Other attendees included Biswa Kalyan Rath, Ashish Shakya, Abhishek Upmanyu, Srishti Dixit, Namik Paul, and more.

Tumbbad Has Released In 3 Leading Languages: Sohum Shah

After more than 50 successful days of theatrical run, Sohum Shah Starrer Tumbbad gets a digital release. The film has released on Amazon Prime in 3 leading languages of India

Tumbbad which is one of the most visually stunning films made in Bollywood which has released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on the digital platform.

The film clocked 50 successful days at the box office and is running strong at the theatres continuing to win the hearts of the audience. Emerging as a sleeper hit, Tumbbad has carved a place as one of the finest pieces of cinema.

FourWhen asked Sohum Shah who is the lead actor and the producer of the film shared his thoughts on the digital release saying, “Its indeed a pleasure and good news for me and entire team of Tumbbad that the film is releasing digitally in three leading Indian languages Hindi, Telugu and Tamil as we have made this film with lot of passion and hard work. I want to thank people for appreciating our work and shower their love for more-than 50 precious days in theaters as still being watched in single screens.”

Despite big banner releases, Tumbbad has maintained its pace at the box office and has been collecting a decent amount of 0.25 cr in its sixth weekend taking the total collection to 13.48 cr.

Giving glimpses of the ancient Marathi culture, Tumbbad perfectly grabbed the essence of the interiors of Maharashtra in the pre Independence era creating stunning visuals for the audience.

The film created history by being the first Indian film to open the Venice International Film Critic’s Week and continues to win at the box office clocking 50 days at theaters.

Simmba Trailer Out: Ranveer Singh Steals The Show With His Powerpack Performance!

The trailer of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba has been released now!
It is finally today that the trailer of the much-awaited film Simmba has been released today. Starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, the film was said to be a total masala entertainer. And now that we have seen the trailer, we completely agree with this.

The short glimpse of the film tells us how it is going to be filled with powerpack performances by Ranveer Singh and Sonu Sood. While Sood is the villain, Ranveer is going to be one having some change of heart. Sara, however has a small part in the trailer, is looking charming as ever. We also have Ajay Devgn as ‘The Singham’ in an extended cameo. Now we are just awaiting the film’s relase!

Talking about the film, Simmba stars Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film has been bankrolled by Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Picturez. It has been scheduled to hit the theatres on December 28, this year.
