Alibaba Pictures Investing In Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation

Paramount-aliaChina’s leading film company Alibaba Pictures have reportedly invested in Paramount’s latest installment from the Mission Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation. Apart from investing an unknown amount in the action thriller film, Alibaba will also take care of the film’s online marketing and promotion in China. They will be collaborating with Paramount to work on online ticketing, film’s merchandising and social media promotions in China.
CEO of Alibaba Pictures, Zhang Qiang said in a statement that Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation is the company’s first ever international venture. Zhang stated that Alibaba has taken its first step toward internationalization and that the company is looking forward to collaborating with more international movie studios making the best use of their resources and technology for a better integrated platform for the film industry.
Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount stated, “Alibaba’s commitment to offering its customers innovative programs, including one-of-a-kind retail and entertainment experiences in China, make them perfect partners for us on the launch of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, and we are thrilled to be working with them to create a successful campaign for one of our studio’s most popular franchises.”
Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson form the main cast of the film. Being one of the best spy movie series, Mission Impossible has quite a lot of expectations riding on it. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, which is the fifth installment of the Mission Impossible series, will release on August 7, 2015 in India. Other than the four mentioned above, the film stars actors Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, and America Olivo in pivotal roles.
