Colossal Trailer Review: This Anne Hathway Movie Is Mix Of Humour And Horror

Colossal is a movie about Gloria (Hathaway) is an out-of-work party girl who due to some circumstances has to move back to her small hometown to get a grip on her life. Not only does her financial stability has gone for a toss, she keeps dancing and partying which forces her boyfriend (Dan Stevens) to throw her out.

During her time in hometown, she reconnects with childhood friend Oscar (Jason Sudeikis) who is the owner of a bar. And simultaneously, on the other side of the world, there are weird creatures begins attacking Seoul, South Korea at night. This is in some weird way connected to Gloria and possibly caused by, her own ongoing mental breakdown.

It is a sci-fi comedy where there is humour and horror meet at the same time. It’s obviously a metaphor, equating mental illness with the horror genre in a fun, inventive way.

This movie is directed by Vigalondo, the filmmaker responsible for genre fare like the acclaimed sci-fi thriller Timecrimes and the stylish Open Windows.

MVP Entertainment India is releasing Colossal in India on April 7, 2017.
