Johnny Depp Becomes Most Overpaid Actor Of 2015!

[tps_footer]Hollywood star Johnny Depp has topped the list of most overpaid actors of 2015 created by Forbes magazine. The reason for which is said to be the multiple failures of many of his films that released in the period 2014-2015. The actor has been giving only a little value of money at the box office as his films remain under achievers. Johnny Depp was included in the same list created in 2014 as well but then actor Adam Sandler was leading the list. Sadly, this year the actor has managed to snatch the crown of most overpaid actor from Adam by topping the list.

According to reports in Forbes magazine, Johnny Depp has been returning only $1.20 for every $1 he was paid which is very less. His films like ‘Transcendence’, ‘Mortdecai’ and ‘The Lone Ranger’ tanked very badly at the box office as all of them were high budget movies and could recover only little at the box office. Disney’s ‘The Lone Ranger’ had a budget of over $150 million whereas ‘Mortdecai’ had a production budget of only $60 million with rest of the cost being separate. ‘Transcendence’ was also not a small scale movie which had production cost of $100 million approx.

Well looking at these figures it is certainly not astonishing that Johnny Depp has topped the list as the actor manages to give only one hit a year. His film Black Mass that released this year grossed very well at the box office but was left out by Forbes as it considered films released only till June 2015. The main film where Johnny Depp consistently gives his value for money is the Pirates of the Caribbean series which he is currently working on.
