Not every remake is welcomed positively as the new trailer of Point Break’s remake has left the original film lovers furious. The official trailer released by Warner Bros. Pictures of remake of 1991’s film Point Break has been flooded with negative comments on YouTube, as apparently the die hard fans of the original film think that the remake is unnecessary and not up to the mark.

Point Break is a story of a federal agent that infiltrates a gang of thieves who thrive on the rush they get from performing extreme sports mainly including surfboarding. The original film released in 1991 starred The Matrix actor Keanu Reeves and actor Patrick Swayze in the lead roles. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, the film was a major success and left a mark on the audiences.

The remake of the film set to release this year on Christmas has a very peculiar casting of comparatively unfamiliar faces including Luke Bracey, Edgar Ramirez, Teresa Palmer and Ray Winstone amongst others. Luke Bracey who has appeared in films like The Best of Me, The November Man, Monte Carlo and Westside will be seen playing the role played by Keanu Reeves in the original film that is the FBI agent.

Fans of the original Point Break movie already have zero tolerance for the film just by watching the remake’s trailer. However, directed by Ericson Core, the trailer does have some edgy thrilling adventure sequences that might make the audience gasp. With better audio and visuals, we hope the Point Break 2015 manages to recreate the magic done by the original film.
