MUMBAI: Pooja Bhatt’s innovative casting strategy seems to have paid off pretty well. The ‘Jism -2’ director has managed to achieve her casting coup. The actress-turned director, who auctioned roles for her upcoming films, has managed to rope in Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright aka Ginny Weasley to act in her film ‘Bad’ or ‘Cabaret’
This is an unbelievable achievement of sorts and as interesting as it can get for Bollywood. The auction was conducted as a part of Scottish Circle, and the ‘Harry Potter’ actress participated when she came to know that the proceeds would be used for protecting women against domestic violence.
Bonnie Wright would either be paired alongside Randeep Hooda in ‘Bad’ or have a sensational dance number in ‘Cabaret’.
An excited Pooja Bhatt said, “I think we have got a Wright person to play the role. Bonnie Wright outbid everyone to win the role and also agreed to pay double the money, as she wants to have her little brother Lewis Wright in the film too”
She lauded Bonnie Wright’s noble gesture.
JK Rowling has named Bonnie Wright aka Ginny Weasley as her most favourite actor from the ‘Harry Potter’ series. It would be really interesting to see if Bonnie Wright’s dashing debut in Bollywood is as great as the ‘Harry Potter’ films.
‘Harry Potter’ fans, it’s time to rejoice. It’s a matter of time, when we shall get to see a desi version of Ginny Weasley shining on the silver screen. Interestingly waited.
