MUMBAI: Bipasha Basu’s Hollywood debut, ‘Singularity’ directed by Roland Joffé, of ‘The Mission’ and ‘City of Joy’ fame, has just released yet another poster

Joffé, whose ‘The Mission’ won the prestigious Palme d’Or or Golden Palm, at the 1986 Cannes film festival, is back with his latest offering: ‘Singularity’ starring Josh Hartnett, Bipasha Basu and Tamsin Egerton. It is touted to be an epic love story, and a time travel romance adventure film.

The look is intriguing enough, with the hero, Hartnett, as the prime focus, during the Anglo-Maratha war. He is flanked by the two heroines, Tamsin and Bipasha. Bipasha is playing the role of a Maratha warrior princess, Tulaja Naik, who encounters Josh’s character Jay Fennel during his time travel to 16th Century India.

Bipasha had earlier said she was very proud of her role in the period romance. “I am very proud of my role in ‘Singularity’. It pushed me into the territory of period romance. It was a very emotional and challenging role.”

‘Singularity’ will release later this year.
