MUMBAI: Stephen Manderson, popularly called Professor Green was held on suspicion of drink driving after police were called to a suspected robbery in South London.
Police officers were called to the scene as there was a possible suspect of mugging at about 02:40AM on Sunday. They found the rapper’s Mercedes that had crashed with a van, luckily no one was injured.
Professor Green was questioned at a police station, where he was bailed to return later this month.
The rapper, who married Made In Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh last month, postponed his autumn tour saying he needed time to finish his new album after being involved in a car accident.
He had been due to play on twelve dates in November. But they have now been rescheduled for May in 2014. In July 2010, Professor Green released his debut album, ‘Alive Till I’m Dead’. The rapper had a number one hit in 2011 with ‘Read All About It’, which featured vocalist Emeli Sande.
Everything according to him was on schedule but then this unfortunate incident happened leaving his health, the album and touring schedule in absolute jeopardy.
