Frieda Pinto, the “Slumdog Millionaire” fame actress has revealed the trailer of her next film. The Indian origin Hollywood actress will be starring in “Desert Dancer”.
“Desert Dancer” is a story about few dancers who are living in a country where dancing is forbidden. The film is based on true events of the life of a dancer Afshin Ghaffarian, which is played by actor Reece Ritchie.

The story begins when, a young Afshin is punished by his teacher for dancing in school. The boy is then supported by his mother, who shows him a secret arts society where people gather to learn art without the fear of being punished for it.

Frieda Pinto later joins Reece’s dance troupe and the story is then about their hardships in a country which opposes their love for dance. The trailer shows Frieda in a very simple character, dressed as a Muslim girl.
Frieda Pinto tweeted about the release of the trailer that read, “Finally here! Desert Dancer Official Trailer #1 (2015)”. The 30-year-old actress dances gracefully from what we see in the trailer.
The movie first premiered in Germany in the year 2014. The film is to be released in United States on April 17th.
