MUMBAI: Freida Pinto might have impressed critics and movie lovers with her act in Oscar winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. But the international actress is in no hurry to make her Bollywood debut.
Freida Pinto has walked out of what could have been her first Bollywood film. The 28-year old actress took this decision, as the producers and makers were skeptical about giving her a bound script.
If things had worked, Freida Pinto would have been acting a film produced by ‘Lootera’ and ‘Udaan’ director Vikramaditya Motwane.
Vikramaditya Motwane has a different reason to share. “We had to shift the dates, and unfortunately Freida could not accommodate the revised schedule in her calendar.”
While Freida Pinto’s film ‘Trishna’ is long delayed and awaiting an Indian theatrical release, the actress is clearly not interested to make her Bollywood debut in rush.
In the age where stars look to cash on any opportunity coming their way, we must admit your brave decision Freida Pinto.
