Not even a month since Furious 7 released, and the news of the eighth edition of the film is already doing its rounds. Reportedly lead actor Vin Diesel has confirmed the news of Fast and Furious 8 being made. According to the actor fans are in for a bigger treat this time. Although he did not give up much detail he has definitely given a nod from his side for the 8th edition.
According to sources Vin Diesel made the announcement at Las Vegas at the same venue where deceased costar Paul Walker and he had announced Furious 7. The film which has crossed the mark of 1$ billion faster than any film in the history is the highest grossing film of 2015 in the world till now. Vin got emotional recalling his experience with Paul while making the previous announcement.
The film recently made headlines for being in a controversial situation when the stunt workers of the film were said to be upset with the filmmakers. Reportedly, as many as 25 stunt workers including Paul Walker’s body double were left uncredited at the end of the film. Stunt artists had a major role to play in the film with high-risk stunts like the airplane scene being performed. This attracted quite some criticism towards the film.
No further details about the production, direction or other actors of Fast and Furious 8 have been disclosed. However it has been reported that the film is set to hit the theatres in 2017 on April 14. Are the filmmakers pushing it too far by making another part of the movie? With the death of Paul Walker, fans might not be thrilled to watch the series any further. And the way Furious 7 ended it was quite a good closure for the film’s franchise. Will the makers of the film be able to surpass Furious 7’s level? Only time will tell.
