Autographed guitar from EMI’s post-Grammy event up for auction

MUMBAI: A guitar autographed by some of the world’s biggest musical artists, songwriters and celebrities on Grammy night at EMI’s benefit for Stand Up for a Cure will go to the highest bidder in an auction presented by EMI.

Proceeds from the auction, hosted by charitybuzz.com, will go to Stand Up For a Cure, an organization that raises funds and awareness for lung cancer research and patient care.

Immediately after the Grammy Awards on 8 February, artists ranging from Trace Adkins, Coldplay, Flex, Herbie Hancock, Lady Antebellum, Katy Perry and Keith Urban signed a white Melody Maker guitar donated by Gibson at the EMI Music/EMI Music Publishing post-Grammy event for Stand Up for a Cure at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.In addition, celebrities Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton, Chris Tucker and JC Chasez signed the guitar.

Stand Up for a Cure executive director Jordan Belkin says, "This is an overwhelming outpouring of support from EMI and so many incredibly talented musicians and entertainers."
