CBS halts Two and a Half Men as Charlie Sheen enters rehab

MUMBAI: As actor Charlie Sheen enters rehab, CBS has announced a temporary halt to production of the sitcom Two and a Half Men, starring the actor, until he is ready to return to work.

According to an official statement from the actor’s publicist, Sheen entered rehab as a preventative measure.

"CBS, Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary inpatient care at a treatment center. We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter," the statement said.

The actor is known for his roles in movies like Platoon and Wall Street. Two months ago, Sheen was charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor charges of third-degree assault and criminal mischief after an argument with his wife, Brooke Mueller.
