Mumbai: Dennis Adamovich has joined TBS in the newly created role of senior vice president and general manager of comedy festivals, according to an announcement by Turner Entertainment Networks president Steve Koonin.
Adamovich’s first order of business will be to oversee TBS and AEG Live’s The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, taking place in November. He will also start preparations for Just For Laughs: A Very Funny Festival, a joint venture between TBS and Just For Laughs set to take place in Chicago in summer 2009. Adamovich is based in Atlanta and reports to Koonin.
"Over the past eight years, Dennis has helped expand the reach of Cartoon Network and Turner’s other animation networks by combining traditional messaging and partnerships with the cutting-edge use of new media and viral campaigns," said Koonin.
"We are very excited to have him join the TBS family. His experience, leadership skills and innovative ideas will be invaluable as TBS embarks on this new business venture in live comedy events."
