Eurocinema, Image Ent ink deal to deliver films to US TV audiences


MUMBAI: Image Entertainment, Inc. has signed an agreement with Eurocinema, the video on-demand channel that offers a wide variety of foreign films to U.S. television audiences.

“Eurocinema is television’s home for international and European box office films, with movies from legendary directors and gems from the international film world. We are pleased to have our films brought to Eurocinema’s audiences across the United States,” said Image Entertainment senior vice president worldwide television Steve Saltman.

"Eurocinema continues to search around the world to bring viewers the best selection of films on our channel. Image Entertainment’s catalogue features some of cinema’s most coveted new titles featuring award-winning A-list actors and directors. We’re delighted to offer our audience Image’s exciting selections throughout 2009," said Eurocinema founder Sebastien Perioche.

Films set to debut on Eurocinema in 2009 include: Edge of Love, Innocence, The Tunnel, Kick ‘n Rush, Evil Aliens, My Brother is an Only Child, Mala Uva, Gente Pez and Slim Sussie.
