Fox picks up Lionsgate Television’s Running Wilde comedy series

MUMBAI: Lionsgate has landed an initial 13-episode pickup order from Fox for its new comedy series Running Wilde, produced in association with Tantamount Studios, Will Arnett, Peter Principato and Paul Young. Starring an ensemble cast led by Arnett and Keri Russell, the half-hour series will debut on Fox this fall.

The single-camera project, which Lionsgate International Television will preview at L.A. Screenings next week, reunites the Arrested Development team of Emmy-winning creator/executive producer Mitch Hurwitz, co-executive producer Jim Vallely and co-star Will Arnett, who are executive-producing the comedy along with Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men) and Peter Principato and Paul Young (Reno 911!). Joe and Anthony Russo, whose directing credits include "Arrested Development," are also onboard as executive producer/directors. The pilot was written by Hurwitz, Vallely and Arnett.

"We’re very excited to be in business with Fox and we look forward to a great collaboration with our accomplished producers and outstanding cast led by Will Arnett and Keri Russell," said Lionsgate president of television programming and production Kevin Beggs.

The comedy stars Will Arnett as Steve Wilde, a spoiled super-rich Beverly Hills man-child, who tries to turn his life around to reclaim the love of his childhood sweetheart, Emmy Kadubic, the girl who got away. The cast also includes Jayne Houdyshell (The Bounty Hunter) as Frau Gertie, Steve’s overprotective former nanny and current head of security; Joseph A. Nunez (Prison Break) as Migo, Steve’s friend and driver; and Stefania Owen (The Lovely Bones) as Puddle, Emmy’s 12 year-old daughter.
