MUMBAI: Todd Glassman has been promoted to senior vice president of promotion for Universal Motown Records.

In this new role, Glassman will oversee promotion at Top 40, Rhythm Crossover, Rock, and Adult formats.

Universal Motown Records president Sylvia Rhone said, "Since joining Universal Motown just two years ago, Todd has played an invaluable role in the success of our promotion team. He sees the big picture when working a record, combining a wide musical sensibility with extensive radio experience. We are very proud to promote Todd to the post of SVP of Promotion."

Universal Motown Records general manager Andrew Kronfeld added, "Todd has shown himself to be a tremendous leader and manager during his time at Universal Motown. His ability to creatively work with both artists and radio is not something that is very common, and we are very excited for him as he takes this great step forward."

"I’d like to thank Sylvia Rhone and Andrew Kronfeld for this wonderful opportunity. They have created a productive and creative company culture at Universal Motown and I look forward to playing a larger role in the executive leadership team. I share their vision of artist optimization in a competitive marketplace and eagerly await the new challenges that lie ahead," added Glassman.

Glassman joined Universal Motown as vice president of Top 40 Promotion in 2007 and became instrumental in the breakthrough radio success of the company’s diverse roster of artists, which includes Lil Wayne, Akon, Blue October, Kid Cudi, Safetysuit, and Shontelle, among many others.
